Kosovo could go to new elections again if parties fail to re-elect current or elect new President

Prishtina, 30 January 2026, dtt-net.com – Election of new Kosovo President or re-election of the current one - whose mandate expires in April - needs a quorum of two-third of members in the 120-seat Parliament, and if the necessary condition is not met then new elections will be called again. Following December new elections, Kosovan Albanian political parties have still not reached a compromise for re-electing Vjosa Osmani at the top post or elect a new one for the top position.
