Kosovo politicians score 52nd failure to constitute parliament, another try scheduled Saturday ahead of 13-day pause ordered by top court

Prishtina, 25 July 2025, dtt-net.com – As expected, Kosovo lawmakers today failed for 52nd time to elect Speaker of Parliament and related bodies after February elections, with another attempt to be made tomorrow (July 26), ahead of 13-day suspension of the deadlocked session ordered last night by the Constitutional Court.

The top court imposed the temporary measure and is expected to take a decision until August 8 over next steps to end the ongoing saga session of 104 days already, as the winner party of elections of the caretaker Prime minister Albin Kurti is failing to secure sufficient support for its nominee for Speaker of Parliament post.
