Kosovo President calls the EU to lift all sanctions

Brussels, 17 December 2025, dtt-net.com – Kosovan President today called the EU to lift all sanctions it imposed two years ago over tensions in Serb-predominantly northern municipalities, as the European bloc started lifting some of them this week “We welcome the EU's decision to remove the measures, while we hope to work to remove them completely as soon as possible. The Republic of Kosovo has proven constructiveness, cooperation and full compatibility with the European Union's foreign security policy,” Vjosa Osmani said in a media release after a meeting she had with the President of European Council Antonio Kosta.
