Prishtina, 22 July 2025, dtt-net.com – The President of Kosovo today said she has asked the Constitutional Court to suspend its 30-day call to political parties to constitute new Parliament which expires on July 26, prompting criticism from an opposition party and local observers who raised questions of her personal interest through the deadlock as her mandate expires in April 2026.
Vjosa Osmani said in a press conference she asked the top court today to clarify what she called “judicial consequences” if the Parliament is not constituted by July 26 and also to temporarily freeze the 30-day call it made to political parties to form new legislative body, but did not explain reasons of her request for suspension until a final decision is made by the court.
