Tirana/Prishtina/Skopje, 08 October 2023, dtt-net.com – Heads of state and government of Western Balkans Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia have strongly condemned Saturday’s land and air assault against Israel by Palestinian militants and expressed solidarity with people of Israel.
“We condemn the terror attacks launched against #Israel and the killings of innocent civilians. Expressing solidarity with President @Isaac_Herzog , the people, and the State of Israel in these dire times. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims,” North Macedonia’s President Stevo Pendarovski said through X/Twitter.
“I strongly condemn Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel. I express sympathy for the victims and support for Israel in its defense. Violence and attack on innocent population must not be tolerated”, the Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski wrote on his part.
“Appalled by the terror attacks and killings of innocent civilians in Israel. We express our full solidarity with President @Isaac_Herzog, the people, and the State of Israel in these dark hours. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims,” Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani said.
“The Republic of Kosova unequivocally condemns today’s terrorist attacks against the State of Israel. Our thoughts are with the people of Israel during this incredibly challenging time. We condemn all acts of violence and stand in unwavering solidarity with those affected,” the Prime Minister Albin Kurti wrote.
“I condemn the attack carried out by Hamas against Israel and extend my condolences for the Israeli lives lost in these attacks. Montenegro stands in solidarity with Israel,” Montenegro’s President Jakov Milatovic said.
“I strongly condemn the terrorist attack by Hamas against Israel. We stand firm against terrorism. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and all of Israel,” Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama wrote on X/Twitter.
“We condemn the horrific attacks on Israel. The Jewish people have endured a history of suffering and Israel deserves to live in peace and with security. Now, more than ever, the world needs Israelis and Palestinians to come together and put a stop to the violence,” serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic wrote.
“I unequivocally condemn the unjust and brutal attack on Israel and its citizens by Hamas. We firmly stand with Israel at this hard moments,” the Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Borjana Kristo said.
“Any form of violence and terrorism from anyone is unacceptable for Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Bosniak member of BiH’s tripartite Presidency, Denis Becirovic said in a press statement.
“Our country will continue to build the position of an active, principled and credible entity on the international level. Even before the escalation of the last wave of violence, Bosnia and Herzegovina called for the achievement of a just peace between Israel and Palestine. We remain convinced that this is the only long-term solution. As a member of the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, the Global Coalition to Fight Terrorism, and a country that is at the door of the EU and NATO, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with its capabilities, actively works and participates in the fight against terrorism. Our country remains committed to the fight against terrorism, violent extremism and radicalization in all its forms,” he wrote.
