Tirana, 14 June 2024, dtt-net.com – A massive fire broke out Friday evening in a market place in Albanian northern town of Shkoder, with fire-fighters from neighbouring Montenegro intervening to help their Albanian colleagues to extinguish the fire.
Local authorities reported material damages and no human fatalities over the fire in a clothes market in residential area of the town.
The mayor of Shkoder municipality, Benet Beci, said that firefighters from towns of Ulcinj and Tivat from Montenegro came to help local Albanian police and civil emergency units to extinguish the fire.
Beci said that a local resident and two fire-fighters are receiving medical attention because of fire smoke.
“Fortunately, they are in good condition, without any health complications,” he said through Facebook.
For the time being the causes of the fire remain unknown.
