Montenegro appellate court confirms acquittal of 13, including 2 Russian spies, over 2016 coup plot charges

Podgorica, 20 February 2026, dtt-net.com – Appellate court of Montenegro today rejected a complaint filed by the prosecutor’s office, thus confirming acquittal by High Court of total thirteen people, including two Russian spies and two Serb members of the Parliament, on charges of coup attempt in 2016.
