Podgorica, 10 March 2026, dtt-net.com – The Council of Europe Anti-Torture Committee (CPT) today in its preliminary observations on its visit to Montenegro from 19 to 27 November 2025 criticized country’s authorities over poor conditions and treatment in prisons or detainees.
“The preliminary observations are particularly critical of the situation of persons on remand. They are subjected to poor treatment and are detained in appalling conditions,” the CoE body said.
