Podgorica, 20 November 2025, dtt-net.com – Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister of Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development has proposed to the government to prohibit Chinese IT technology equipment in the country citing cyber security risks.
Nik Gjeloshaj said he has proposed legislation changes to the governing coalition which would enable to “restrict or prohibit the use of security-endangering equipment,” and will request to remove Huawei and ZTE Corporation from services of a local telecommunication company.
