Montenegro main opposition party launches partial boycott of Parliament amid adoption of contested 2 draft-laws

Podgorica, 06 March 2026, dtt-net.com – The main opposition and biggest party in Montenegro today announced partial boycott of country’s parliamentary work amid deep disputes with the governing parties over two draft-laws adopted today on internal affairs and national security which are also disapproved by the EU Commission. As of next parliamentary session, lawmakers of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) will resign from the positions of Deputy Speaker of Parliament; Chairperson of Committee against Corruption; Chairperson of Committee on European Integration and Inquiry Committee.
