Montenegro ministry summons Russian ambassador amid attacks on decision to sent troops to NATO mission in support of Ukraine

Podgorica, 17 November 2025, dtt-net.com – Montenegro’s Foreign Affairs Ministry today summoned Russian Ambassador Alexander Lukashik after his last week attacks on Montenegro’s leadership which decided to send troops to the NATO mission in Germany in support of Ukraine against ongoing Russian military aggression. “The Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Podgorica, Alexander Lukashik, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro on November 17, 2025, regarding recent inappropriate announcements and statements in the media, which represent a clear example of open and unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of Montenegro,” the ministry led by the Bosniak Minister Ervin Ibrahimovic.
