North Macedonia’s government suspends payments of EU funds amid bribe case

Skopje, 10 November 2025, dtt-net.com – The government of North Macedonia has decided to temporarily halt payments to local farmers of EU funds for agriculture as a precautionary measure following charges filed last week by the prosecution against five people of bribe. The Ministry of Finance said that it took the decision to suspend IPARD programme payments and informed the European Commission (EC) in Brussels, after last week the office of public prosecution filed criminal charges against four officials, including a director of local state agency, and owner of a private company.
