Only one ruling party in Montenegro in favour of initiative for dismissal of Serb Parliament Speaker over tributes to war criminal

Podgorica, 02 September 2026, dtt-net.com – Most of ruling parties in Montenegro are against an initiative announced by opposition for dismissal of Serb Speaker of Parliament, Andrija Mandic, for tributes to the convicted and deceased war criminal, Ratko Mladic, over Srebrenica Genocide, with only one of the ruling parties splitting and announcing support to the initiative so far. The main ruling party, Europe Now (PES), of the Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, whose cabinet is dependent on the 9 votes of Mandic’s New Serb Democracy (NSD), today opposed the initiative of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
