Podgorica, 14 March 2024, dtt-net.com – A earthquake of 5.3 Richter magnitude hit the west of Montenegro early today morning, country’s Institute of Hydrometeorology and Seismology (IHMS) reported, with authorities and local media reporting so far multiple material damages but no fatalities.
According to the IHMS the epicentre of earthquake at 04:06 (CET) was 16 km depth, which is 32 km distance from Niksic town and 77 km from capital Podgorica.
IHMS reported dozens of aftershocks of the earthquake too.
