Protests in Serbia against lithium mining project continue

Belgrade, 30 July 2024, dtt-net.com – Protests against the planned lithium mining project in Serbia’s western municipality Loznica, today were organized in two towns, the second consecutive day after yesterday in five, as the government earlier this month signed with the EU a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of ‘Strategic Partnership’ on raw materials, batteries and electric vehicles, aiming to start lithium mining in 2028.
