Russia not expected to veto extension of EU peacekeeping force mandate in Bosnia, according to official

Sarajevo, 08 October 2025, dtt-net.com – The United Nations Security Council is expected to extend for another twelve months the mandate of the EU mission EUFOR-ALTHEA in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), according to the spokesperson of Russian foreign affairs ministry.

“The mandates of the UN missions in Kosovo, the support mission in Libya, the referendum in Western Sahara, and Operation Althea in Bosnia and Herzegovina are scheduled to be extended,” spokesperson Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova said at today’s press conference according to a transcript from the ministry over this months meeting of the top world body.
