Belgrade, 28 September 2026, dtt-net.com – The Speaker Serbia’s Parliament, Ana Brnabic Monday took over Acting President post, a day after Aleksandar Vucic resigned to run for prime minister post in October 25 elections.
The country is ahead of the most competitive two elections in the last 13 years of ruling by the latter and his Progressive Party (SNS), as this time they will face angry and mobilized students and opposition parties who want him out of power, accusing him and his associates of authoritative ruling, backsliding of democratic governance, corruption, organized crime, abuse of the state administration, misuse of state budget and also of election fraud in past parliamentary and municipal elections.
