Belgrade, 23 January 2026, dtt-net.com – The Speaker of Serbian Parliament today addressed more attacks on visiting nine-member delegation of the EU legislative body accusing them of siding with students and opposition who continue protesting against authoritarian President and his ruling party.
According to Ana Brnabic of the Progressive Party (SNS) - controlled by the President Aleksandar Vucic – members of the delegation “interfere” in Serbia’s internal affairs as they and the European Parliament in several occasions have criticized Vucic-controlled state police of violence during the ongoing widespread protests on almost daily basis since November 2024 when triggered by collapse of train station canopy in northern town of Novi Sad which killed 16 people, including a student.
