Tirana, 02 November 2026, dtt-net.com - Albanian authorities have arrested two local nationals for attempting to smuggle undocumented migrants along a major southeastern transit route, law enforcement officials said Monday.
The suspects were apprehended by police services along the Gjirokastër-Tepelenë highway at a location known locally as "Cold Water." Officers intercepted the vehicle, a Volkswagen, as it was transporting four migrants who had recently crossed into Albanian territory illegally via the Greek border.
