5 indicted in North Macedonia over bribe related to EU funds

Skopje/Brussels, 02 February 2026, dtt-net.com – The prosecutor’s office in North Macedonia filed indictments against five people, including a director of a public agency, on charges of bribe taking and bribe giving related to EU funded projects in agriculture sector. “Following an investigation, a public prosecutor from the Public Prosecutor's Office GOKK today filed an indictment with the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje against one person accused of committing the crime of Giving a Bribe and the crime of Giving a Reward for Unlawful Influence, three people who committed the crime of Receiving a Reward for Unlawful Influence, and one person is charged with the crime of Receiving a Bribe,” country’s prosecutor’s office announced.
