Belgrade, 01 February 2026, dtt-net.com – Five tons of marijuana seized on Thursday (January 29) by Serbian police at a business facility owned by an active member of the ruling Progressive Party (SNS) arrived from North Macedonia, with one of the people detained being co-owner of a company in the neighbouring country licenced for production and processing of the drug, according to the investigations by Serbian special prosecutor’s office for organized.
Local media and opposition reported that of five people targeted by the prosecutor’s office the main organizer of the illegal activity is still on the run, while of four others one turns to be SNS councillor at Krusevac city assembly and also together with 26 other companies a donor of the main party’s headquarters premises in capital Belgrade ten years ago.
