Belgrade, 03 July 2025, dtt-net.com – An opposition party in Serbia today called for resignation of interior minister and police director amid last night “brutal” beatings of students by police in capital Belgrade, with other parties also announcing criminal charges against President Aleksandar Vucic accusing him of agreeing for use of force on protesters, as the country entered into fifth day of civil unrest seeking early elections.
The People’s Movement of Serbia (NPS) said Interior Minister Ivica Dačić and Police Director Dragan Vasiljević should immediately resign, following last night detention of 72 students and citizens in capital Belgrade and “excessive” use of force on many of them.
