Prishtina, 28 August 2025, dtt-net.com – Kosovo lawmakers today continued with the second deadlock in constituting new legislative body, as nominees from Serb minority are not having sufficient votes to be elected deputy-Speaker of the 120-seat body.
The new deadlock follows after election of Speaker of Parliament, 3 deputy speakers from Albanian majority and 1 from non-Serb minorities two days ago, while the ruling Vetevendosje (LVV) of the Prime Minister Albin Kurti still hopes to elect in remaining third voting a Serb lawmaker who is opponent to the Serbia-backed Serb list party and is his governing ally.
