Sarajevo, 28 August 2025, dtt-net.com – The convicted leader of Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Milorad Dodik, a close ally of Russia’s and Serbia’s leadership, says he will travel “soon” to Moscow to ask Russian authorities to vote against extension of the EU mission (EUFOR-ALTHEA) mandate in BiH at the United Nations Security Council.
“I will most likely ask our Russian friends to revoke the consent and veto the European international forces here at the Security Council for Althea,” Dodik told Russian agency Sputnik in Serbian language over the next vote at the top world body expected to take place later this year as the mandate expires on November 2.
