Belgrade, 16 September 2025, dtt-net.com – A Serbia non-governmental organization today said that the new proposal of the government to amend Criminal Code is aiming to criminalize protests and foresees up to one-year jail for protesters who block roads or hinder traffic.
“Dangerous proposal to amend the Criminal Code – Any roadblock is declared a criminal offense, punishable by a prison sentence of up to one year!,” the Civic Initiatives NGO said in a media statement following a new proposal by the ministry of justice.
