Main opposition party in Bosnia’s Serb entity nominates candidate for early presidential elections

Sarajevo, 28 September 2025, dtt-net.com – The main opposition party in Serb entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), today nominated its candidate for early presidential elections in the entity which take place in late November, after termination of president mandate by BiH election body to the pro-Russia leader of biggest party in the Serb region.

The Serb Democratic Party (SDS) main board today choose engineer Branko Blanuša to run for the post on November 23 early vote, with the party hoping that its candidate will be backed by other opposition parties to win and replace the leader of SNSD party Milorad Dodik, whom country’s court banned to hold the post for six years…
