2 USA lawmakers slam Trump government for removing sanctions on pro-Russia leader of Serbs in Bosnia

Sarajevo, 14 November 2025, dtt-net.com – Two Democratic Party members of the USA Congress have written to the Trump’s government expressing strong opposition for removal of former President of Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and 30 others from USA sanctions list. Gregory W. Meeks and Bill Keating wrote to the Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent and Secretary of State Marco Rubio requesting them to inform Congress about the basis for their decision to de-list Dodik, his family, and his affiliates and how the Trump administration plans to uphold longstanding USA policy in the Western Balkans region including to further implement the 1995 Dayton Peace Accords on BiH.
