Sarajevo, 22 January 2026, dtt-net.com – The Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) today called once more EU institutions for talks aimed at ending obstacles country’s truck drivers they are facing because of EU visa rules during their daily import-export transportation of merchandise from and to the EU member countries.
“We once again call on the European Commission and all competent institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina to engage in an active and constructive dialogue in order to provide professional drivers from Bosnia and Herzegovina with fair working conditions in international road transport, in accordance with the European principles of equality and non-discrimination,” the ministry led by minister Edi Forto called today in a statement, as transporters of BiH, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia announced a strike at border crossings with EU countries for January 26, after multiple negative responses from the EU and its member states.
