Another anti-PM violent protest in Albania as crisis in the country looming  

Tirana, 20 February 2026, dtt-net.com – A four-hour-long anti-government protest was organized today in Albanian capital of Tirana and yet again it turned violent with opposition protesters throwing fireworks and petrol bombs toward the police and the latter hitting back with water cannons and tear gas. Around 40 protesters are detained by the police according to the opposition Democratic Party (PD). Clashes between the two sides started in front of the government building and then continued in front of the parliament and other locations.
