Belgrade, 22 March 2026, dtt-net.com – The authoritarian President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is leading the campaign of his ruling party for March 29 municipal elections in ten municipalities, amid growing fears of defeat from Students which are running for the first time and is seen as first test ahead of early parliamentary elections expected to take place by year’s end.
After visiting municipalities where elections will take place, Vucic on Saturday gathered thousands of his supporters in capital Belgrade sport arena calling on citizens to massively show up and vote for Progressive Party (SNS) candidates for mayoral and assemblies seats.
