North Macedonia’s ethnic Albanian lawmaker and prime minister clash over languages

Skopje, 26 March 2026, Zhurnal.mk - The interpretations between ethnic Albanian and Macedonian politicians in North Macedonia as to whether only the Macedonian language is official in the country according to the Constitution, or whether the Albanian language is as well as Macedonian, continued today during parliamentary session, MP Skender Rexhepi and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski clashed over the issue as the dispute between the two sides has surfaced again in the EU candidate country.
