Brussels/Belgrade, 24 May 2026, dtt-net.com – Top member of the European Green Party (EGP) called on the EU institutions and governments of member states to end support to the authoritarian President whom his opponents, including country’s students accuse of harm to country’s democracy associated with accusations of corruption too.
"Belgrade is speaking. The number of protesters against the corruption and intimidation of Vučić’s regime was massive. Reports and footage show police violence against protesters. The protesters are demanding elections, accountability, and democracy,” Vula Tsetsi, Co-Chair of the EGP said today following yesterday’s massive protests of citizens in capital Belgrade called and organized by students against Aleksandar Vucic and his ruling Progressive Party (SNS).
