Tirana, 22 June 2026, dtt-net.com – The centrist European Democratic Party (EGP), which is part of the RenewEurope group in the European Parliament (EP) addressed criticism to Albanian head of government over construction plans for touristic resorts on coastal areas he is insisting for Qatari investors and Donald Trump’s son-in-law.
“Yesterday’s massive demonstration sent a clear message: Albanians want a European future, not private deals for oligarchs. Edi Rama must choose transparency, rule of law and protected nature over backroom agreements and privilege for the powerful,” the EGP said in a reaction through X, amid ongoing daily protests in capital Tirana.
