Albania opposition to file criminal charges against PM Edi Rama for spending 4,2 million euros for Kanye West concert

Tirana, 12 July 2026, dtt-net.com – Albania’s main opposition party said it will file criminal charges against the Prime Minister Edi Rama for spending 4,2 million euros from country’s emergency fund for concert of Kanye West in capital Tirana held Saturday (July 11). The head of parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, (PD), Gazment Bardhi, said the party will file criminal charges Monday (July 13) to the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), for what he called “privat concert”, accusing the prime minister of breach of law.
