Trump extends “national emergency” measure on W. Balkans after ending sanctions on secessionist leader of Bosnia Serbs and who is lobbying USA President’s cabinet to support break-up of the country

Sarajevo/Washington, 24 June 2026, dtt-net.com – The President of the United States Donald Trump two days ago continued the “Nationals Emergency” executive order for another year, initiated first in June 2001 by George Bush, and extended by other presidents since, after October last year removed from sanctions list the secessionist leader of Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in October, a month after Serb entity’s authorities controlled by Dodik’s party hired Canada-based lobbying company Dickens & Madson (Canada) Inc. of an Israeli-Canadian businessman, which includes lobbying efforts “to secure the support of the United States and obtain independence from Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

Earlier this month, Trump’s government suspended entry ban on Albania’s opposition leader, Sali Berisha, imposed by Biden’s cabinet too in 2021, over alleged misuse of official position during his 2005-2009 prime minister mandate

“The actions of persons threatening the peace and international stabilization efforts in the Western Balkans, including acts of extremist violence and obstructionist activity, and the situation in the Western Balkans, which stymies progress toward effective and democratic governance and full integration into transatlantic institutions, continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States,” reads the decision of Trump published at the Federal Register.

Therefore, in accordance with section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13219 with respect to the Western Balkans,” Trump said in his reasoning of the extension of the measure until June 2027.

On October 29, Trump’s government removed from sanctions list – imposed by Joe Biden’s government – Dodik, his top associates, family members and companies linked to him….
