Paris/Brussels, 13 July 2026, dtt-net.com – The European Commission (EC) said it has approved a €63 billion French state aid for 11 offshore wind farms in a scheme for next 25 years.
New wind farms planned to be constructed the North Sea, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, are expected to have a capacity of 11.1 GWh all together, and to generate up to 47.8 TWh of renewable electricity per year, which represents 10.6% of France’s annual electricity consumption.
