Tirana/Washington, 23 August 2026, dtt-net.com – A USA court Friday rejected the January visa processing pause by the government of Donald Trump on total 75 countries, five of which from Western Balkans countries, Serbia exemption.
The Federal Court in New York ruled that “Policy is contrary to law and was issued in excess of Secretary Rubio’s statutory authority.”
“The Policy is therefore vacated under the Administrative Procedure Act (“APA”),” reads the ruling of Friday (August 21) of Judge Jeannette A. Vargas of USA District Court in New York, following a complaint filed by Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (“CLINIC”), African Communities Together (“ACT”), applicants for immigrant visas from designated countries, and United States citizens who are sponsoring family members from designated countries for immigrant visas.
