Podgorica, 03 September 2026, dtt-net.com – The Parliament of Montenegro today voted in favour of constitutional changes lifting immunity of members of government related to corruption.
All 66 lawmakers present at the session of the 81-seat body voted in favour of lifting immunity of members of government when charged of "criminal act such as abuse of official position, accepting and giving bribes and other related acts, directly threaten the integrity of public authority, citizens' trust in institutions and the basic principles of the constitutional order," according to the changes made and proposed by the government.
