Skopje/Brussels, 18 September 2026, dtt-net.com – North Macedonia is ready to satisfy Bulgaria-imposed EU condition of including Bulgarian community in its Constitution, but changes would not come into effect before the country concludes accession negotiations and parliaments of member states ratify accession treaty with the country, the Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and leader of biggest party which controls parliamentary majority said.
Mickoski in an interview with Washington-based think-tank Atlantic Council complaint of “bullying” of his country by Bulgaria, which he accused of misusing its veto power in the EU, by imposing the 2022 condition for constitutional changes and agreed by previous socialdemocrat-led government in Skopje, now in the opposition.
