Montenegro makes another 2 steps toward EU entry door, 10 more to go

Brussels, 06 November 2026, dtt-net.com – The frontrunner country from the Western Balkans region in EU membership negotiations, today closed 2 more negotiating chapters in accession talks with the European bloc with 10 more to go before reaching the entry door. Montenegro’s government and the EU today closed accession negotiations on the chapter 1 (free movement of goods) and chapter 12 (food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary policy) at the Inter-Governmental Conference (IGC).
