Albania praised for progress made in reforms to stop violence against women, but urged to do much more

Strasbourg/Tirana, 17 September 2024, dtt-net.com – Albanian institutions have made some progress in efforts to stop violence against women, but “urgent steps” are needed in numerous areas by authorities to fully comply with Council of Europe Convention provisions, known as Istanbul Convention, the Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO) said in a new report.
