Tirana, 25 June 2026, dtt-net.com - Police of Albania said it filed criminal charges against another 11 protesters over ongoing anti-government protests in capital Tirana, bringing the number of people charged for traffic “obstructions” to 70 so far.
“From the investigative proceedings it is suspected that these citizens have oriented and conducted the rally in various areas of those officially announced, namely at: the intersection of "Urani Pano" Street with "Zogu I" Boulevard; the intersection of Ibrahim Rugova" Street with Kavaja Street; and at the intersection of the "Ibrahim Rugova" Road with the boulevard "Gjergj Fishta". Consequently, in these axes with a high flow of vehicle and citizen movement, the free movement of vehicles and citizens has been obstructed,” police said.
