Sarajevo, 16 October 2024, dtt-net.com – Herzegovina-Neretva County (HNŽ) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) said Wednesday that the number of people found dead following severe floods and landslides of earlier this month increased to 24, after the last body found.
Authorities explained that the body found was the last one that rescue, and search times were searching, and the searches are now concluded.
“After today’s finding of the last body, i.e. another victim of last week’s floods and landslides that hit Jablanica and Konjic, the search activities on the ground have ended, while clearing the area and removing the damage is continuing. The final number of deaths of residents of Konjic and Jablanica rose to 24, of which 5 died from the area of Konjic, and 19 from Jablanica,” the government of the HNŽ county said in a press statement.
