Bosniaks and Croats of Bosnia mark Independence Day, but not Serbs

Sarajevo, 01 March 2026, dtt-net.com – Top Bosniak and Croat officials of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) today attended ceremonies organized in the capital of Sarajevo marking 34 years of the Independence Day of the country (1 March 1992), which is not celebrated by Serb entity officials as usual since the end of 1992-1995 war. Chairman of the BiH tri-partite Presidency Zeljko Komsic (Croat) and member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović (Bosniak) were there to celebrate 34 years of independence referendum and call for country’s unity and membership in the NATO, but not the Serb member Zeljka Cvijanovic, as Serbs continue threatening with break-up of the country for years already.
