Sarajevo, 15 June 2025, dtt-net.com – The government of Tuzla Canton in the Bosniak-Croat entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is considering to launch exploration and possible exploitation of lithium and other raw materials in several locations amid indications of reserves, according to a draft-Spatial Plan approved and send to public debate.
The draft approved on 28 May by the session of the Tuzla Canton Assembly says authorities should “consider exploration and possible exploitation of lithium, boron and magnesium in the area of the city of Srebrenik and the municipality of Čelić”.
Tuzla is only 30 km distance from Lopare municipality in the Serb entity where lithium reserves are already confirmed.
