Brussels, 20 June 2025, dtt-net.com – The European Commission (EC) said hydrogen grid will be part of its proposal for energy Grids Package of the European Union, expected to be presented to 27 member states by the end of 2025.
“Indeed, this will be covered with that and the timeline that we have for the moment is by the end of this year”, EC spokesperson Anna-Kaisa Itkonen said in a press conference, following the call by European companies involved in hydrogen production and related transport infrastructure two days ago.
The Brussels-based Hydrogen Europe organization said €170 billion for hydrogen transport infrastructure (or €400 billion including electrolysers and terminals), would be needed for hydrogen grid across the EU territory…
