Brussels/Podgorica, 24 March 2026, dtt-net.com – The European Commissioner in charge of EU enlargement, Marta Kos, says Montenegro institutions should focus on reforms on democracy, which are part of cluster on “fundamentals” and relate mainly to reforms in judiciary system of the candidate country.
“The EU accession process isn't just about ticking boxes, it's about building democratic institutions which can withstand the demands of life as an EU member state,” she said through X, after a meeting of yesterday with country’s President Jakov Milatovic.
