Kosovo and EU agree on laws on foreigners and vehicles, but differences remain with Serbia over Belgrade-run parallel bodies

Prishtina, 14 March 2026, dtt-net.com – The governments of Kosovo and Serbia, together with EU mediators, announced today reaching a deal on implementation of Kosovan new law on foreigners and law on foreign vehicles, but at the same time two sides remain divided over the fate of Serbia-run healthcare and education bodies in Kosovo. According to the announcement by the Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Serbia citizens who work in Serbia-run healthcare and education system and Serbia nationals who are studying in Kosovo will obtain at Kosovo’s interior ministry temporary residence permits with the possibility of extension based on the need.
