Prishtina, 01 September 2026, dtt-net.com – Mayors of 20 municipalities run by opposition Albanian parties in Kosovo today organized a protest in capital Prishtina, calling the government of the caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti to unlock budget for their municipalities.
“This is not a protest for the privileges of mayors or the interests of political parties. It is a protest for the protection of municipal budgets, property and competencies, as well as for the right of citizens to quality services and equitable development,” the Association of Kosovo Municipalities (AKK) said in a statement over the protest attended by hundreds.
