Tirana, 09 February 2023, dtt-net.com – Earthquakes of moderate magnitudes are reported today in Albania, Greece, Serbia and Croatia, with the one in eastern Albania the highest one, but no damages or injuries are reported.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said it had recorded three earthquakes in Greece. The first one hit southern Greece at 16:47 CET of 3.2 Richter scale, followed by two others near Kastoria city in northern Greece of 3.4 Richter scale.
Earlier in the day, EMSC reported a 3.8 Richter scale tremor at 10:57 near Librazhd city in eastern Albania.
In Croatia at 15:11 CET the country was hit by a earthquake of 3.1 Richter scale 29 km east-south of capital Zagreb.
Seismological Survey of Serbia recorded an earthquake at southern municipality Bujanovac of 2.3 Richter scale at 17:19 CET
In the meantime, the death toll in Turkey of powerful earthquakes has passed 17000 and more than 70 000 injured, and more than 3000 deaths in Syria.
